Like any organ, muscle, or machine, the mind needs time and care to recuperate from hard work in order to operate at its best. We all know that sleep is very important, but here are even more ways you can incorporate rest and relaxation into your daily life to help your mind RECHARGE.

Hold the liquids 1-2 hours before going to bed as it can cause interruption in your sleep and cause you to wake up needlessly to use the bathroom.

Try using a fan, white noise machine or music to mask the sounds that keep you awake.

Get outside in the sunshine during the day as much as possible to reinforce our natural circadian rhythms to support a healthy sleep schedule.

For better sleep, try a micro-relaxation activity during your day, such as deep breathing, yoga or laughing with a friend.

Find a comfortable mattress and pillows. We spend up to one third of our lifetime sleeping so make sure that your mattress and pillows have not exceeded their life expectancy and that they are still supportive.
